I used Google and searched ‘marriage planner’ and instead all that came up was wedding planners. Don’t get me wrong, I mean I am in the wedding business and I certainly see the need for a wedding planner… but what about the marriage?
I meet with so many brides and grooms who are literally so caught up in planning a wedding that they don’t take the time to stop and plan a marriage. Let’s face it folks, the wedding is often times a set agenda which – between the ceremony and reception – amounts to a whopping six to seven hours. The marriage is a constant variable that equates to the rest of your lives.
Breathe people…
Especially those of you who have the wisdom and foresight to hire a wedding planner. Let them do their job, and spend some quality time with your significant other. Take time out to enjoy each others company, and plan for a lifetime. Yes, the wedding should and likely will be magical and everything you ever dreamed it would be… especially if you hire the right professionals to do the job, but the marriage – with the right amount of planning – could be even more magical for the rest of your life.

What an awesome post! Saun thank you for having Craig guest blog on something that really needed to be said!
Kudos to you, Craig! This is precisely why I tell my clients when they hire me…”Congratulations…you’ve hired someone to plan the party, now you can concentrate on becoming a couple and enjoying your engagement! See you at the wedding!”
Awesome, awesome post!!
I L-O-V-E LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this, Craig! More couples need to concentrate on the marriage thing! …and then of course, utilize a fabulous planner like Saundra (or me!) so that they can absorb, enjoy and remember every moment of their special day!
