Might sound silly, but a huge pet peeve of mine is how your napkin is folded on the table. It’s a detail that is often overlooked. And it’s the ONE thing that you can be so creative while not blowing your budget.
The pyramid, fan, or bishop hat napkin fold should NEVER be seen at your wedding reception. And anything stuck in a glass goblet. These napkin folds are for business meetings, not your beautiful wedding.
However, if you get too creative on the fold, your caterer may not have the staff to implement a challenging fold for 300 guests. Remember too, that you have to use a stiffer 100% cotton napkin for some folds, which isn’t always what caterer’s carry. So be sure to check into that before you decide on a particular fold.
However, it doesn’t have to be that difficult. Take a look at what we’ve created at some of our weddings:

That 2nd setting is a great way for couple to save some cash too? Great idea
Very funny blog post, you are so right about the napkins!
I love doing different things with napkins. I did the photo 2 option at a wedding recently and it was great. I’ve also folded them so they’re pockets for a menu card. Great post!
