we love, love

congratulations mr and mrs jason grabert

Jason and Brittany had a beautiful wedding at the O’ Day Discover Lodge at Burdette Park. Utilizing the skills of their family, they designed their own decorations for their big event. Jason and his dad, Steve, custom built a wonderful arbor out of birch. Truly unique, this was the focal point for the outdoor ceremony and where they did the “sand ceremony” in place of the unity candle. The reception was decorated with a classic simplicity theme, using Brittany’s favorite colors of yellow and pink. However, she incorporated personal touches. For instance, her aunt made a beautiful wreath that decorated the enormous fireplace. And not only did they have a yummy white and strawberry cake, but also incorporated Jason’s favorite, new york style cheesecakes as the groom’s cake. And their guests loved it!! Another focal point was the mini-arbor (also custom built by Jason and his Dad to exactly match the ceremony arbor). This was a perfect place to put a cloth basket to collect all the money gift envelopes. Finally, the guests were inspired by a custom aisle runner that was painted by family with their names and wedding date. We love those unique touches!

It was a great day for them as they shared their love with their family and friends. Even the slight rain after the ceremony did not deter them from having fun and getting pictures. As Brittany said, “This is a one-time only dress – now let’s get the photos”! Now THAT is a champion bride.

plan on!
