real wedding: tina wolfe & randy swain

Friday, January 18th, 2008

I could NOT leave out the wedding of Tina Wolfe and Randy Swain. Rhonda (mom) and Tina went to several bridal shows before they found me. These two ladies are really cracked me up through the full service planning process. Very real. Very blunt. And very opinionated. Sound like anyone you know?

Tina and Randy were very sweet and along with their wedding party; knew how to party. Well the Wolfe’s always know how to throw a big party. Memorable moments: this was the wedding that the DJ had a fire in their establishment the night before the wedding. The father of the bride, Jeff, kept everyone in stitches after a few cocktails. We paid respects to Tina’s grandfather who owns a nightclub but having a seated area at the dance floor - recreating Club Royale. The food stations were spectacular; Evansville’s Executive Inn did a fantastic job.

real wedding: brooke waninger & jacques white

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

I just got back into town. 19 email message just this morning alone. So for the next few days; until I can sort through my pics from Atlanta…..please preview some more real weddings from 2007.

Brooke and Lisa (mom) Waninger were referred to me and visited my booth at SuperBride Sunday. Anyone who knows Lisa, knows she is a force to be reckoned with. Both highly organized by any standards, they realized they wanted some help along the way so enlisted us for a partial planning package.

The wedding and reception took place in Owensboro, KY and was simply fabulous with the bright colors and choice of flowers. Memorable moments: loved the band Charlene Blay and the 2nd Edition (actually have acquired their services since) and even though there were about 20 people in the wedding party…they were all terrific!!!

real wedding: jill winter & aaron piening

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

We adored Jill Winter and Aaron Piening. A day-of coordination we were impressed with the decorations and level of commitment from their families. Of course, Jill is uber organized…..she handed me a list of things to remember on the wedding day. What she didn’t know was that it already matched my list that I made for myself!!!

Located in the quaint, cultural community of New Harmony, Indiana - it was a beautiful wedding which solidified my belief that taking all the pictures BEFORE the wedding really makes for a wonderful, relaxed and intimate reception.

real wedding: cynthia madden & john gannon

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Definitely our most unique wedding. Cynthia Madden and John Gannon were not going to stand for anything typical. Another full planning service wedding, we produced a beautiful, quaint and memorable ceremony led to a beat bumping, martini luge flowing, heart stopping nightclub reception.

We had it at the Casino Aztar in Evansville, Indiana; and truth be told when we showed up with the vans…the employees and Director thought we were nuts. But we had a vision. All white - Miami style - with lighting that would change the room to four different colors throughout the evening. Lounges and couches and mini bars lined the cross style dance floor.

Most memorable moment: when the couple entered through the custom draped tourets to: :Shake That” by Eminem (clean version). It’s the groom’s favorite song!

real wedding: brittany burris and luke lear

Monday, January 14th, 2008

One of my most memorable weddings of 2007. They hired us for the full-service package from start to finish; and on the day of the wedding we managed over 15 vendors. With a band AND a DJ, the entertainment was unbelievable. Dana (mom), Brittany and I had so much fun planning this wedding for 350 guests in 6 months.

I have pictures of Mr. Burris who was pleased to give his little girl the wedding of her dreams. Both families were unbelievable to work with and the pictures you are seeing were taken from the phenomenal Courtney Metzger with Daniel Knight Studio B. The event comes back to life through the pictures!

real wedding: bethany blackstone & jesse hamner

Friday, January 11th, 2008

Since we are in Atlanta…..getting educated….we will be featuring real weddings we coordinated or planned from 2007 to keep you entertained.

First one is the beautiful and classy, country-club wedding of Bethany Blackstone and Jesse Hamner in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Yummy chocolate, but with cream as an accent. Best part of the reception: the hand-made cannons that shot out rose petals as the couple was introduced and the action food stations.
