go green
go campbell soup green
Green Monday here at planning…forever events and I have noticed a huge green movement everywhere I go! YEAH!
Real, everyday products are coming out with ways to promote environmentally friendly usage.
This week’s find:

Out grocery shopping I stopped in my tracks when I saw a GREEN can for Campbell’s Soup promoting upcoming Earth Day (prepare for it April 22, 2008) .
A smart and timely promotion they are touting their Earth Friendly Soups. For years they have had environmentally friendly packaging with: smaller, lighter cans (condensed soup, just add water), ensuring the use of less metal, less shipping fuel and the use of 100% recyclable packaging.
They estimate that 2.6 million gallons of fuel is saved every year by providing condensed soup (or smaller cans). And they have been doing this for years!
Awesome. And their Healthy Choice Chicken Noodle Soup or Tomato Soup…yum!

eco-friendly wedding registry
We’re going to take a one day break from our “love your wedding vendor” series, because today is Green Monday at the planning…forever events studio.
As I have pointed out in the past, I am a total wanna-be eco-friendly person. But I’m trying (dammit). That’s why I look to the experts; like Jennifer over at Earth Friendly Weddings (whom I blog stalk on a daily basis).
She posted last week a FABULOUS idea for the couples who already have everything. Whether you are a more mature couple who has already purchased everything you need for your home or have already been living together…why not consider giving back for your wedding registry.
Seriously, how many toasters can you have?

Enter: changingthepresent.org. A charitable wedding registry that gives back to the earth and communities! The couple can have a website to let everyone know why they chose this path! It’s a gift that makes everyone feel good!
*sigh* That’s the best thing I’ve heard all day!

green (eco friendly) art
Green Monday here. I was emailed these incredible pictures of art that was made entirely out of food! Please forgive me, I do not know who to source for these creations…but had to share these incredible photos.
Talk about eco friendly art! (hope you aren’t hungry)…

Unbelievable!

buy green at office depot

Green Monday here….and while I realize that many of you who read this blog don’t “own” your own business, I do know that most of you use: paper, pencils, and general office supplies. Some of you might actually buy your own supplies (instead of stealing borrowing from your office).
If you do purchase your own writing instruments…let me turn you on to Office Depot’s latest and greatest: Buying Green. I love the answer they give to the question, “What is Green?”
It’s a question that has no single answer because every product has an environmental impact.
Adore that answer! If you have a moment, click on their guide to see what products they offer. It may be something that you use frequently…and one switch will impact our environment!

blog love from earth friendly weddings

Jennifer at Earth Friendly Weddings blogged about our tree at Super Bride…she is such a sweetie! Thank you so much!
Which brings me to talk about her latest endeavor… earthlyaffair.com :: earth friendly invitations. Original and unique (of course on recycled paper) it proves that making a green friendly decision does not mean you give up looking good. Take a look at one of her creations, Pinwheel (which comes in a variety of colors, as all her invitations).

So cute!!! Make sure you take a moment to look at the rest of her creative line!

green (eco friendly) living: part 7

Don’t get mad… but I really feel Valentine’s Day was created for Hallmark and florists. Not that it’s not a good idea to stop and tell your significant other that you appreciate them…but it can be just a little too rehearsed.
However…if you are interested in some chocolates or red roses…why not take an organic approach? It’s Green Monday here and we stumbled with our mouse upon OrganicStyle.com.
Cute little website; they offer eco-friendly alternatives for your big V Day and offer a way to say, “I love you and the earth too“. Plenty of gift giving ideas (year round). Don’t forget their pet section…..our pets give us the truest form of love there is…absolutely unconditional.
(and if my chocolate lab stops chewing my new curtains…he may get a treat on Thursday).

ps: If you have to get your Valentines Card from a regular store…remember to buy: American Greetings’ new American Greetings to the World line. They use recycled paper.
