stick figure bride

Friday, December 7th, 2007

I’m not talking about skinny brides. I was searching the web yesterday I found this precious little iron-on decal of a bride. Look at it:

From Sticks ‘n Stones store, each design is made from genuine Swarovski ® crystals and are machine washable/dryable. For only $34.95 you can buy one for your favorite bride (or yourself) on a black or white tee.

It’s adorable!

I have to give some blog love to Liene over at Blue Orchid Designs. She always comes up with the most creative blog ideas that leave me scratching my head, thinking, “How’d she think of that”? Well I guess that’s what you get when you have a creative mind like hers.

O(h) lovely bracelets

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

Are you having a hard time finding an unusual bridesmaid’s gift? Maybe it just got a little simpler.

Melissa at Master Piece Weddings wrote a great post on O Bracelets! These are gifts that also give to someone else.

Here’s a snippet of what she wrote:

Gorgeous gemstones and exclusive designs are just the beginning of the O Bracelets’ appeal. Each is handmade in Rwanda by women whose lives—disrupted by poverty, HIV/AIDS and the 1994 genocide—are changing dramatically because of the income earned while making the bracelets. Born out of a unique partnership between O, The Oprah Magazine, Fair Winds Trading and Macy’s, the first O Bracelets were introduced in May of 2007 to an immediate, overwhelming response.

Can’t you see this as a great Christmas gift as well?

Happy November! I heart this month. Sweaters. Fall. Crisp air. Pumpkin pies. My birthday in 15 days! It’s just a cool month! (pardon the pun).

Speaking of cool things. Bought myself a little early birthday gift yesterday. A RED Nikon Coolpix! (yes, these photos look pinkish…but mine is very RED).

Let’s face it. This camera is sexy. I have a bigger Cannon camera that takes such crisp, fast photos that it should be a crime. But it’s bulky and I wanted small one to take out and capture quick pictures. And it just so happens to match my RED Blackberry phone and my RED iPod.

In fact, I’m going to use it this weekend on a high profile wedding. Stay tuned for a Day in the Life of a Wedding Planner series next week when I highlight this weekend’s events.

coffee and music

Isb

My two loves: coffee and music. Starbucks has teamed up with iTunes in what I can only describe as a genius marketing move.

Every time you go to Starbucks (which I happen to frequent often as it is one of my favorite places to meet clients out on the town) you get a nifty little card: Song of the Day and then you to on your iTunes and download the song for FREE.

I’ve scored big with free downloads on some artists I love; Annie Lennox, Joss Stone, KT Tunstall to name a few. But the really cool part of this promotion is I download songs from groups I would normally never listen to! It really opens up your musical tastes!

Who wants to party? (me! me! pick ME!)

How about this Friday, October 26th! You won’t want to miss Biz Boo located smack dab on Main Street in Evansville.

Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana there’s quite a line up of some serious, spooky fun at this upcoming party.

The Haunted Beer Garden and Spooky Food Tent should prove to be a great time, all for the low all-access pass of $15.

At 7pm, one of my favorite local bands, Big Slick, will be performing…you won’t want to miss them! Where’s the dance floor?  Right smack on Main Street…or wherever you are standing. It’s all good.

The times are: 4pm - 11pm. Isn’t that a great excuse to leave early from work? (tell your boss you’re coming down with something *cough*cough* — yeah, Halloween FEVER!)

Don’t forget to dress up!
