nobody sits ‘baby’ in the corner

In my continuing saga of being addicted to wedding dancing videos I find on YouTube, you have to check out my next find.

This beautiful bride and twinkle-toed groom pain-staking took the time to learn the ENTIRE dance from the finale of Dirty Dancing.

I don’t know about you. But I smiled throughout the whole video!!!

happy anniversary lindsay and steven!

Lindsayandsteven_2
Just wanted to give a shout out to a very dear couple, Lindsay and Steven Charles! Celebrating their 3rd anniversary today, I remember having so much fun with them planning their wedding. One of the things that stood out was that even though they were high school sweethearts, they saved their pennies and nickels to host their own fabulous and rather large wedding. The benefit of that? They did it their way.

They wrote a great thank you letter to me, which I appreciated so much. And have told all their friends about my wedding planning skills! Lindsay will be my attorney once she finishes her law school and gets back to Evansville!

Cheers to you two! Have a great one!

engagement photo sessions

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

I LOVE engagement photo sessions. These pictures are such a great compliment to the upcoming wedding. And it gives you a preview of the photographer works so you will get to know each other before the big wedding day! That’s important!!!

Some couples are more classic and some are unique looking for unusual shots. Either way these sessions  are great to capture to not only use as your formal "engagement photo" for newspaper, but also a neat addition to show at your wedding.

Here are two of my upcoming clients.

Brittany Burris and Luke Lear - photographer Courtney Metzger at Daniel Knight’s Studio B Photography

My August couple, Christina Wolfe and Randy Swain - photographer Michelle Forche with Memories by Michelle.

disney does it

Monday, June 18th, 2007

Who didn’t want to be Cinderella when they were young? Honestly I preferred Snow White…something about being around all those men….but I digress.

Kristie Kelly for Disney has done it again to help the average girl to relive their childhood dream of completely the fairy tale….with Disney Gowns for brides.   Surprisingly stunning……there are a slew of couture wedding gowns that have a modern and chic likening to our favorite female Disney characters.

Ahh….. Belle….. Love that girl. 639_b

Here’s a look at the couture version!

Remember Cinderella?? 637_bcinderellaposters

She’s ready for the Ball in this new dress……

They were better than I expected and certainly come with a steep price tag - $1,100 to $3,500. But what’s too much to achieve your fantasy wedding? That’s up to YOU to decide. Just be sure to have Prince Charming there!

Trashed Brides

Monday, June 11th, 2007

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I think that Trash the Dress photography sessions are so cool. I’ve highlighted it on my TV segment and blog. You don’t have to intentionally wreak havoc on your wedding dress…but you just might. More importantly you are creating and archiving a whole ‘nother set of memories for you to look back on. And sexy? Boy can these shots be sexy.

Why this topic again? I learned the New York Times picked up the story and featured a fellow wedding vendor Mark Eric, and his website, trashthedress.com.

So I submit to all of you brides!!! If you are photogentic and have the guts….lets have our every own Evansville Trash the Dress session. I’ll get the photographers and media attention. What I need is willing participants and gutsy brides. Let’s do this. Email me!!!
