Rent the Children’s Attire?

Friday, April 13th, 2007

3527_3I know it is such a pain to find cute cloths for the kids in the wedding!! Also - astounding how expensive it can be!

How about renting from Gaga’s? While their selection is not extensive, it sure does feel good in the pocket book. They’ll ship it out to you for at least 3 weeks for rental or you can even buy it! What a fabulous idea! Just look at that cute flower petal dress that has been all the rage for little girls. Those dresses are expensive.

Wedding Shoe Trend

Friday, January 5th, 2007

Forget the usual white satin shoes with your white wedding dress!!

Consider different options. One of my clients LOVED purple and we designed the reception with that color in mind. Instead of the traditional white pumps, she opted for a beautiful pair of purple Jimmy Choo shoes to go with her designer, white dress.

Yummy Chocolate!!

Friday, December 29th, 2006

Not talking about the chocolate you can eat…but the color!!!

We all know that chocolate brown is the new black! We see it in tablecloth designs to invitations. So don’t forget the tuxes!

Imagine you wearing a soft, ivory satin wedding dress and you’re husband-to-be in a handsome, elegant, delicious looking chocolate shaded tuxedo.

Check out Stephen Geoffrey Chocolate Parisian Tuxedo (Style 282):

Gown Bustling

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

Here is a tip: Make sure you bring someone with you to the store when you learn how to bustle your gown. Ideally this will be your maid of honor or at least someone who will be available at the reception. Have this person take a really close look at the hooks and threads to ensure that they are sturdy, if they aren’t, ask the store to replace them. You may want to practice yourself when the dress is hanging. You want to be sure this isn’t left to chance….or it can be very frustrating on your wedding day!
