which comes first?

I had a client ask me the other day who is planning her wedding around a Monogram theme. She asked me, "Which first initial goes first? The bride’s or the grooms?"
So we decided to ask you! The poll just ended and an overwhelming 87.5% said that the BRIDE’S first name initial goes first and only 12.5% thought it would be the GROOM’S first name initial should be first.
Think of it like this…..in etiquette, isn’t it always ladies first?
Check out our new poll!!

I know one time when it doesn’t work that way. If your initials spell something bad. I recently saw one that did, and really wished someone had pointed it out to them before they had it printed on all of the favors. Their’s was a serious swear word only missing the vowel.

I missed the poll, but ooh, ooh, I know the answer!
Bride’s - a monogram is read as a name and the bride is always first since the man isn’t separated from his last name.
I am going to have to check out your polls more often - what a fun blogging thing!
